:: The Blue Mountains Six Foot Track ::

The Contours (Tim, Ferg, Ivan, Andy and me) set off to the Blue Mountains of NSW once again.  This time to see if we can crack the

famous six foot track in one day.  Most bikers take two days at a normal pace but we thought sod that - it'll be breeze in a day.

Well, it wasn't a breeze.  It was pretty hard work.  A bit of rain, a mad bike jump by Andy, heaps of fog, a swing bridge, some dodgy

compasses (!) and a nasty 1000 step climb at the end in the rain and dark.   It's only 45km - ish but it's pretty tough.

If you attempt this is one day - expect a good 4-5 hours riding.

The Fat Hippy site has all the info as usual - his route was a little shorter than ours as we rode from Jenolan which is actually not

allowed - it's a walking trail only but we seriously (!) had no idea until the end when we read about it ;o)
