Australian Geographic sponsor Search for Shambhala

I’m proud to announce that the Australian Geographic Society have come on board for the Search for Shambhala solo mountain bike expedition this year! The Australian Geographic Society support community, research and adventure projects throughout Australia and overseas and is an invaluable source of knowledge and inspiration.
I applied for a grant from AG late last year and was over the moon to have my little Shambhala project selected for support. Now the project brief has been set up, all I have to do is get pedalling!
This week is pretty frantic, among the most urgent things to get sorted are:
- Finish all my immunisations
- Book accommodation in Kunming,
- Learn how to get video content from .mts format (native AVCHD to Final Cut) – learn how to create AVCHD archives
- Grab more back up disks and clone more drives
- To Invert or not to Invert? Do I charge my electrical gear by DC-AC converter or run gear directly from the PowerGorilla?
- Fit new forks to ‘Grub’, my new mountain bike – thanks for the name Mel, Kel and Shaz!
- TAX RETURNS!!!
- Pack and weigh all my gear
- Catch up with friends
- Go!
