Fun re-living the Tour

It’s Saturday morning and I just got from the beach and Bacinos coffee shop in Manly. I brought the Bacino boys some Timorese coffee we picked up from Dili which seemed to be a hit!

I’m going through the 600 photos and notes I made on the trip today and putting together some stories together for magazines.  It’s great fun re-living the Tour de Timor and already it seems a distant memory climbing up into those magical mountain villages with the locals waving their flags and shouting encouragement to each and every rider from 08:30 to 16:00 each and every day.

We got to meet a great cross section of riders from all over the world, Malaysia, Singapore, Portugal, US, Canada and Australia.  Riders at all levels and backgrounds took place in the Tour, from the middle bunch like Chris above to the serious front lineup guys like Neil Van de Ploeg, Scott Liston and Mark Frendo, all riders mingled together in Timor.  We have some great shots of the leader pack on stage 4 and 5 which we’ll put on the site a little later.

I don’t want to use the words jealous or envy, but whoops I already have!

And Mr Humphries commenting on your blog, lofty company indeed :)
