NZ Adventure Magazine confirm publication of ‘Racing the Dragon’
Some good news! The NZ Adventure magazine from Pacific Media have confirmed they will be publishing the Lhasa to Kathmandu bike ride in their next issue! I’m really happy they have decided to publish as I really admire what they’re doing with their mag, covering all sorts of crayzee stuff from extreme kayaking too base jumping in Ethiopia!
This story was put together to highlight the controversial affects of the Beijing to Lhasa to railway and the impact it may have on the traditions and culture of the Tibetans as more military, tourists and Chinese will be brought in to the country en mass.
I have already heard that as of September 06, the ground floor of the Potala Palace is now a tourist information centre and that access to Tibet is becoming easier with the relaxation of travel permits.
